Diane Farrell Mauch presented a lecture on the opera Faust, written by Charles Gounod, based on the classic German legend of an unsatisfied scholar who makes a pact with the Devil, exchanging knowledge and pleasure for his soul. Diane is the president of the Opera/Ballet Club with credentials that include a varied performance career in opera, and musical theater. Diane taught voice and opera theater, most recently at the University of Miami, and has written extensively on vocal technique and literature. She presents lectures on all aspects of opera in the Bay Area.
