Jon Foyt, author of several novels, is interviewed by Marian Nielsen. His latest book is a historical fiction, “The Mind of an American Revolutionary.” Foyt did much research into the life of Robert Morris, the central figure of this book, who was also known as the patron saint of banking. Morris was born in England, came to the USA to find his father and to learn a trade. He was educated and with his fathers’ connections became a successful business man and with the help of Alexander Hamilton, became a founding father of the first bank in the United States. His life was filled with many ups and downs and was impacted by the American Revolution, but at the end of his time he spent the last seven years in debtor’s prison.
