Nathan Stone has written his memoir on his time in the Navy (1943-1946). Just out of boot camp he entered into the amphibious division, this was special boats that could go on water as well as travel on land, this division was called Amphibious Alligators. In this time period he traveled from one end of the world to the other, visiting exciting lands, getting shot and even was at Normandy on D-Day. Stone’s interview is entertaining and enlightening.
