Harvey Meyerson has ink in his blood. He’s always had the heart of a journalist, and a PhD in American History to boot. With that passion, his research has evolved into an exciting book about the care of our National Forest. Meyerson shares that in the late 19th century, the US Army Cavalry was dedicated to the care of nature throughout this country. These soldiers were at the beginning of environmental ethics, and they had outposts in the forest, on reservations, to maintain and preserve the open space future. Robert Tunnell is the interviewer in this program; both are members of Rossmoor’s Published Writers.
