Ernest Glaser is interviewed about his memoirs. Glaser was born and raised in Berlin, Germany in the 1920’s. Remaining in Germany and practicing the Jewish faith, the need for safety and security became critical forcing his father to move the family to Shanghai, China. He spent the war years in Shanghai, 5 of them in a Japanese Ghetto, and finally arrived in San Francisco, California in 1947. Years later, Glaser can safely recall the struggles and pain his family went through on their journey to America. Jon Foyt is the interviewer in this program. (2019)
