Jonathan Bailey, a Rossmoor resident and professor at the Fromm Institute for Lifelong Learning, leads viewers through a tour of Broadway's musicals to explore how the LGBTQ+ community has been represented on the stage and how “throughout the twentieth century musicals have variously dramatized, mirrored, or challenged our deeply held cultural attitudes and beliefs.” Bailey will touch on popular productions as well as lesser known but equally important works like “Fun Home” from 2015, which was the very first Broadway musical to feature a lesbian in the lead role.
