Dr. Susan Steele a PhD in Linguistics and an author of books on that subject wrote her first memoir recounting the stages and changes in the 40-year marriage of two academics who wed and after a period of uncertainty then years later he dies. In between is joy and sorrow, triumph and tragedy, all informed by the delicate balance between professional aspirations and personal commitments. Steele is interviewed by Dorothy Pritchett. (2022)
