John Hopper hosts, shining a spotlight on the talented artists within the Rossmoor Art Association. In this episode Dr. Judy Schavrien, an artist and psychotherapist, shares her artwork and her story of survival. Originally from New York City, she studied in Chicago with the late Harold Rosenberg, art critic for The New Yorker and advocate for the Abstract Expressionists. She considers herself a Figurative Expressionist. Schavrien work appeared in the digital exhibit, at San Francisco's de Young Museum, for "Alice Neel: People Come First." (2022)
