Paul Alan Cox, Ph.D. presents the history and exciting progress that his organization, Brain Chemistry Labs, has made in addressing age-related neurological diseases including ALS, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's. Cox has spent most of his adult life studying these diseases, either through direct study or related research. Cox earned a Ph.D. from Harvard and holds the unusual title of Doctor of Ethnobiology. He was named one of TIME Magazine's 11 "Heroes of Medicine" in recognition of his search in remote island villages for new medicines. Cox serves as the CEO and Chief Scientist for the well-equipped not-for-profit Brain Chemistry Labs in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In this presentation, Cox discusses his research experience, how he came to revolutionize the understanding of these diseases, the current state of progress on dealing with them, and some hopes for the future.
