Dr. Rivka Amado presented a musical lecture on the migration of Jews in 1492 from Spain. Amado mixes historical narrative, descriptions of Sephardic culture and songs from popular Ladino melodies and accompanies her stories with guitar and oud. Amado has a doctorial from the University of Toronto. She has taught at Hebrew university, Bar Ilan University, Stanford and UC Berkeley.
