Rossmoor's End of Life Concerns Club hosts this talk concerning Medical Aid-in-Dying to help reminder viewers that they have autonomy in their options at the end of life, with Medical Aid-in-Dying being only one of them. Club president and retired physician, Jim Greenberg, goes over the California End of Life Option Act, with a review of the history of California's law, who qualifies and what sequence of events must occur in order to comply with the law. David Birnbach will provide first hand experience with the topic, his life partner chose to end her life shortly before her 90th birthday. David will discuss what his experience was like and share some videos of his partner taken just days before passing. The third presenter is Thalia DeWolf, a hospice and palliative care nurse with extensive experience in End-Of-Life care and is a founding member of the Academy of Aid-in-Dying Medicine (aadm.org).
