The 29th Annual Generations in Jazz Festival featuring the Big Band of Rossmoor and the Stanley Middle School Jazz Messengers. Under the direction of Mo Levich and Greg Brown, the Big Band of Rossmoor's 140-page repertoire consists mainly of ’40s and ’50s big band swing and the American songbook. Regulars to the Big Band concerts will recognize the sounds of the “Fred Astaire Medley,” “Moon Dance,” “The Shadow of Your Smile,” “Misty” and “I Got it Bad and That Ain’t Good.” Also featured are The Stanley Middle School Jazz Messengers under the direction of Todd Minson. The Jazz Messengers play popular songs like "Soul Bossa Nova" by Quincy Jones and "What Is Hip?" from bay area legends, Tower of Power.
