In this program Save Mount Diablo Executive Director Ted Clement takes viewers on a journey to showcase the natural beauty and wildlife that call the Mount Diablo Range home. Clement also provides background information on the Save Mount Diablo organization and provides insight into the work they do. Save Mount Diablo is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and is a nationally accredited land trust and conservation organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Save Mount Diablo has been preserving lands on and around Mount Diablo and educating the public to the mountain’s natural values since 1971. Save Mount Diablo’s mission is to preserve Mount Diablo’s peaks, surrounding foothills, and watersheds; and its sustaining Diablo Range, through land acquisition and preservation strategies designed to protect the mountain’s natural beauty, biological diversity, and historic and agricultural heritage; enhance our area’s quality of life; and provide educational and recreational opportunities consistent with protection of natural resources.
